It Started With Ear Infections

In September 2016, my son was 12 months old, and we had been dealing with frequent ear infections and pinkeye for six months. The ear infections made him cranky, and we lost a lot of sleep. The pinkeye kept him home from daycare. During this time, he also developed eczema and food allergies. I wanted to quit my full time job, but I didn’t.

We decided to have ear tubes placed, hoping he wouldn’t need oral antibiotics for future ear infections. Two months after surgery, he was bleeding from his ear tubes, and the pediatrician said he needed oral antibiotics. I was DONE.

On our chiropractor’s advice, I took him to see a homeopath. Our lives changed almost instantly. Within three days of starting his homeopathic remedy, his eczema was gone, and his ears were clear. He didn’t have another ear infection for seven months. Relief.

Homeopathy has been my go-to ever since. It has helped us through fevers, flu, coughs, an infected tooth, behavior issues, and more. I’m a big fan! I’ve learned how to take care of sick kids on my own or with support from our natural health care team. Often all we need is rest and nutritional support to feel better.

Two Violets Takes Root

In the fall of 2019, I lost my job as a creative director due to a mass layoff. I decided almost right away that I wanted to work as a freelance designer. I co-founded Two Violets as a way to serve holistic health providers in February 2020. Some of Two Violets’ first clients were providers my family has seen. I deeply believe in the businesses I work with and want to connect them with those who need their services.
